I've got a 1986 SVO and the last 6 digits of the VIN are 225384, but according to mustangspecs.com

http://www.mustangspecs.com/years/86.shtml

they only built 224,410 mustangs...so are the numbers not sequential? Or are the numbers on mustangspecs.com wrong? Is there anyway to determine when mine was built? I'm curious to understand if mine was one of the last few or the numbers are just random.

Thanks in advance,

Vince

The last SVO produced is shown in the third pic in this thread:

VINs are not sequential.

I also bet it is a 9L / Oxford White, with leather interior, no sunroof, possibly a bi-wing delete, with about 167,420 miles?

:D

It is 9L with leather, no sunroof, bi-wing delete and 162k miles. You must have known the previous owner? Or you should get a job with a psychic hotline!

Two different cars here TALKING about your car.....
Though not near the end of production you might want to ask "when were the first Bi-wing delete" orders allowed??

There are two different dates/issues (supply/option) that effect BWD cars.

P.S. While some know to look out for "the other" car -my guess is someone knows what is is, has it hidden and doesn't even present it ! (kind of like the 64 1/2 in the Ford Museum that we all know ISN'T the "first built" )
