Have an 84 SVO that I just got, Needs alot of work to get back to road ready, starting with getting things ready to be painted and got to the rocker panel trim, They are attached but I did not want to break the clips that is holding it on. What steps do you have to take to get those off without breaking the clips. I have searched the Internet for hours now, my repair manual does not show anything. The spats are no big deal I see how those are attached.

Remove the front inner fender liners and remove the retaining nut at the front of each rocker trim strip.

After that is out, starting from the front. bend (twist) the trim piece and it will pop off the three retaining clips.

They're thin aluminum so be easy with the amount of force to not make any permanent bends.

I have pics of the clips and screw/nut placement if you get stuck.
