Little interesting discovery on my engine rebuild. pulled the motor out of the car today and found im getting blow by on all 4 cylanders. HC pistons and poor machining dont mix.

Big thanks to MAPSVO for the donor motor its at the machine shop (different from the one that screwed up the other motor).

Other interesting dicovery was this clutch that is in the car. Any one have a clue about it? Pressure plate is pink so I assume its an exedy, but the clutch plate itself says daikin. Attached is a photo of it.

So no one has an idea or opinion on this clutch?

I'm thinking it might a one of CenterForce's Dual Friction disk. What's the other side of the disk look like?

I recall seeing the rubber dampers (instead of metal coil springs) somewhere. I may have some pics somewhere - remind me later tonight and I'll have a look for pics.

The other side looks just like this side.

Pics of the Centerforce Dual Friction disk. Note the same rubber dampers in the hub.

Definitely same hub mfgr.
