DEARBORN, Mich., May 10, 1999 Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) will webcast its 1999 Annual Meeting of Shareholders "live" on the Internet for the benefit of shareholders and interested parties unable to travel to Michigan. The live broadcast of the meeting will begin at 9:55 a.m. EDT. Live coverage of the annual meeting news conference will follow. The webcast will emanate from the Ford Motor Company Web site at http://www.ford.com and also through http://webevents.broadcast.com/ford/annualmeeting99. "As we prepare to enter the new millennium, we want to make sure our methods for communicating with shareholders and the investment community remain on the cutting edge," said William Clay Ford, Jr., who will preside over his first annual meeting as chairman of Ford Motor Company on May 13.
